P3 Spring Fling Invitational (May 2012)

We are pleased to announce that over 300 people have applied to the May P3 200-way event. It is truly amazing that after the Square One 200-Way, CSR 200-Way, German Record and FSR, all held in the last 18 months, the big way community can still not get enough. After so many 200+ways and the incredible success of the Dubai 500 Base Practice where we switched slots and did different 80-ways each day, we have decided to make a change of plans for May 16-20.
We have intentionally held the bar very high for getting a slot on the May event and at this point have only accepted the 165 most highly skilled skydivers. Rather than continuing to build to 200 and allowing the average skill level to decrease, we have decided not to lock on to a target number and instead to enjoy the opportunity to do some of the most unique large formation flying ever seen. The type of formations, rotation of slots (and perhaps sequential) which could only be possible with the incredibly talented group we have.
We are not locking into a particular number but rather a high minimum skill level. We are thinking that our participants will be even more excited about doing an event like this than just "another" 200-way. (We can't believe we've done so many 200-ways now that we can say that :))) If part of your motivation for being on this event was to check off the "200-way box" required to be on the Dubai 500 you can be sure that this event will still qualify you for that.

This is a Wednesday through Sunday.
Minimum Qualifications Required: The success of such large formations is highly dependent upon the talent of the individuals who attempt them. At a minimum, selected applicants should have:
-- a.) demonstrated competency in at least one P3 event in the last 3 years, AND
-- b.) have been on at least three 100-ways prior to this event, AND
-- c.) have a proven ability to track safely in a group away from a formation.
The organizing team can waive requirements 'a' and 'b' in certain circumstances.

Price: $1350 USD for 20 jumps.
All jumps will be multiple aircraft formations made from altitudes ranging between 15,000' to 18,000' AGL using oxygen. This cost also INCLUDES the following:
- Banquet Dinner
- Downloadable Video
- Commemorative Patch
Deposit Required: $450 USD, once your application is accepted, is required in advance to secure your slot. This deposit will be applied towards the total event price. The balance of $900 is due prior to 8:00am on Day 1 of the event and is fully refundable at $40.00 per jump not made.

- Traveler's Checks - Make payable to Tony Domenico. Must be signed by you in both signature locations upon check-in.
- Personal Check or Bank Check - Funds must be in US$ drawn on a US bank, no exceptions. Make payable to Tony Domenico. Mail to Jen Domenico, PO Box 550, Perris, CA 92572 USA.
- Credit/Debit Card - A 3.5% transaction fee will be added to all credit card transactions as well as any debit card transactions under $100 USD. There is no fee for debit card transactions over $100 USD. All credit/debit transactions are processed by PVAS.
- Wire Transfer - You are responsible for all fees charged by BOTH banking institutions (sending and receiving). Inquire with Jen Domenico email@example.com for banking information.
Start Time: 8:00am on May 16th.
Please be registered, waivered, gear checked and ready to jump at this time. Please make your travel arrangements accordingly. Start times for subsequent days will be announced at the end of the preceding day.
Release Time: 5:00pm on May 20th.
Please make your travel arrangements accordingly. If you have to leave early on May 20th, be aware that you will pay for the entire day regardless for how many jumps you made.
Cancellation & Refund Policy: If you cannot honor your commitment to this event and you cancel within 30 days of the event start date, a $200 USD registration fee will be retained and the remainder of your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel prior to 30 days before the event, your deposit will be fully refunded.
What do I need to bring? Current USPA (or recognized aero club) membership card, photo identification (driver’s license or passport), signed logbook, and ALL JUMPSUITS and/or WEIGHTS -- or an empty weight belt if you plan to rent weights from Square 1 -- and/or SWEATSHIRTS to ensure your best performance in each skydive regardless of the fall rate. Also, needless to say, please be sure your reserve is in date.
