Aussie National Record 2015

Aussie National Record 2015

Proudly supported by the APF Fiona McEachern Sport Development Fund.

Following the VERY successful 2010 National Record event which witnessed the setting of THREE consecutive Australian Formation Skydiving records, P3 has invited our Aussie mates back to Skydive Perris to do it again! If you're an Australian citizen or permanent resident, you don't want to miss this! (And if not... there are a few slots available for non-Aussie superstars. But be warned, for these coveted slots, the competition will be fierce!)

Dates: May 20th - May 31st, 2015
This is a Wednesday through Sunday.

The Goal: To set a new official APF National Formation Skydiving Record for the Largest Freefall Formation. The current record is a 112-way set in June 2010. Our goal is to break the existing record over Skydive Perris, California, adhering to all APF regulations for record qualification. The actual size of the record we aim for will depend on the number of participants qualifying in the first two big way camps. We are hoping everyone qualifies and we're in the 150-way range!

Why Perris and P3: The Perris Performance Plus (P3) formula has an extremely successful track record of formal training programs and invitational events renowned for assisting over a thousand skydivers from around the globe in reaching their personal performance goals. Skydive Perris is uniquely equipped with the aircraft, facilities and staff to allow the successful implementation of P3's event plan.

In June 2010, approximately 100 Australians from very diverse experience backgrounds descended upon Perris with aspirations of breaking the existing National Record. After 2 weeks of intensive training and preparation, 3 back-to-back-to-back records were set -- a 105-way, a 109-way and a 112-way. This was a monumental achievement for P3 and Australian skydiving, and we intend to do it again.

Who Qualifies: The Australian Parachute Federation (APF) requires that 75% of participants on the record must be EITHER:

  • An Australian natural citizen, OR
  • A permanent resident of Australia.

There are no specifications for the remaining 25%.

Minimum Experience Required: 200 jumps, 50 jumps in the last 6 months or 100 jumps in the last 12 months, have been on at least a 20-way and have the ability to close 12th or later on a consistent basis. If you feel your experience may be in question, please don't hesitate to contact us with your specific circumstances.

Location: Perris, CA
